As business owners sometimes we know there is a problem, is the solution a consultant?  Perhaps, but the consultant may come and utilise the "Management by helicopter” method. They will hover above the operation and create as much dust as possible before departing the scene having added little value.

You could say he runs "Help to help yourself" - because he cannot imagine a better compliment than an owner or manager saying that he is no longer needed after completion of a project.
